I wrote this song while on a working vacation at a cottage near Orillia, in the midst of the coldest January we've seen in years.
The furnace in the cottage ran out of propane in the middle of the night, and I awoke to an indoor temperature of about 3 degrees Celsius.
Once the propane supplier was called in and I knew I'd eventually be able to heat up the cottage again, I made a pot of tea, wrapped
myself up in blankets and wrote this "don't worry, be happy" song.
Written on guitar, I actually didn't have a piano part worked out until we were in the studio in New Jersey. After tracking drums
and bass against a pre-recorded guitar part, I sat down at the grand piano in the studio and wrote a piano part to fit. It was an
incredibly creative time, working with the fantastic staff at The Barber Shop Studios in New Jersey. Talk about Feeling Good...
