In the first round at SongWars, Allister took 1st place in the Pop/Rock category with "What A Day", and 2nd place in the Open category with "Not Today", and was chosen the Outstanding Songwriter for the round. Among other prizes, this afforded Allister the opportunity to visit The Barber Shop and record eight songs for his upcoming album!

The fourth round of SongWars has just wrapped up, and Allister has taken 1st place in the Folk/Acoustic category with "Me and the Ghosts of St. Andrews", and 2nd place in the Country category with "Goodbye, Bedford Falls"!

Thanks to Mike Pinder and his staff for running this contest, which offers not only great prizes and attention, but more importantly supports the development of the songwriting craft by providing every entrant with individual critiques and suggestions for their songs.

Helping the Relief Effort in Haiti

The disastrous January 12th earthquake in Haiti has been in every newspaper, on every television screen, and across the internet. The response from relief agencies and supporters worldwide has been incredible.

Locally, Bradley/Robinson have been doing our small part to encourage people at our live shows to donate to the relief effort. Over 4 shows in January, we reached $862 in donations, including $616 from the generous patrons at Lulu's Dine and Dance in Kitchener.

Every contribution helps bring aid to people desperate for food, shelter and medical attention, and the need for us to support re-building efforts will continue long after the news channels turn their attention elsewhere, so please do what you can to contribute to a relief agency of your choice.
